Faculty accomplishments and publications Release Date: Monday, January 16, 2006 Vermont Genetics Network awards grants to two Middlebury faculty members MIDDLEBURY, Vt.—Courtesy of the president's office, here's an update on recent faculty publications and accomplishments. The Vermont Genetics Network has awarded grants to two Middlebury faculty members for pilot studies, as part of the program funded by the National Institutes of Health-INBRE grant administered by the University of Vermont. Matthew Kimble (Psychology) received funding for a project titled Unconscious Fear Effects on Decision-Making. This is a collaborative effort involving two thesis students and an undergraduate assistant that investigates the psychophysiological correlates associated with decision-making processes. Michelle McCauley (Psychology) received funding that will support research during her leave this year. Her project, titled Assessing the Importance of Individual Differences in Children's Eyewitness Memory, will evaluate the extent to which children's vocabulary and working memory predict their recall for an experienced event as a function of interview protocol.
